Life as we know it is comprised of two totally inter-dependent components: molecules and energy. Separating the two for study has often led to an artificial and inadequate approach to health care, particularly when it comes to the hard problem of consciousness, spirituality, or, the mind. But, ignoring the inter-dependence does not negate its existence.
The origin of consciousness and awareness is still a mystery. Even so, I see each person as a spiritual being integrated in a human body, from its cells to the end of its electromagnetic fields. My role is to help that whole, integrated person function as well as possible.
